Sustainable Humanities

The Sustainable Humanities cluster explores the relevance, usefulness and future of humanities education in the 21st century. It responds to the challenging call to explore how the humanities matter, and to demonstrate how this particular form of knowledge continues to shape our world. Students within this cluster approach this question from a diverse range of disciplines and entry points, including classical, early modern and contemporary texts, sound, art and performance studies, post-colonialism and modern city life, and larger questions of politics and pedagogy.
